It has been only a week since Rajinikanth’s 2.0 hit the screens and his fans are already thrilled about his upcoming film Petta. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film has Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles.
The makers of Petta have been surprising the audience by releasing the first single and character posters. Today, Karthik Subbaraj and team have revealed Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s role in the film.
In the poster, Nawazuddin Siddiqui looks intense as Singaar Singh. He will be playing a key role in the film and could be Kaali’s (Rajinikanth) confidante. The makers are tight-lipped about the film and its characters.
On December 4, Petta makers unveiled Vijay Sethupathi’s role. He plays Jithu and has an intriguing look in the film. He is seen holding a gun and looks bruised and battered.
Early this week, composer Anirudh Ravichander released the first single track ‘Marana Mass’, which received overwhelming responses from the audience. The makers are gearing up for a grand audio launch on December 9 at Sai Ram Engineering College in Tambaram, Chennai.
Petta will hit the theatres on Pongal 2019 alongside Ajith’s Viswasam. It is unclear if one of the films will step away from the Pongal race.
