While Sanjay Dutt’s biopic ‘Sanju’ is breaking records at box-office, everybody is praising Ranbir Kapoor for a tremendous job done as a ‘Reel Life’ Sanju Baba. There’s one more character who stole the show in Raju Hirani’s latest and may be most successful film.
We’re talking about the character played by Vicky Kaushal. Sanjay Dutt’s friend Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi aka Kamli. Everybody wants to know who ís the real ‘Kamli’.
Vicky Kaushal in an interview revealed that Kamlesh was “an amalgamation of three or four of Sanjay Dutt’s closest friends in real life but primarily the character is based on Paresh Ghelani who is based in the US.
XPRIZE Foundation website says,”Paresh Ghelani is an avid entrepreneur and philanthropist who focuses on solving problems through innovation and entrepreneurship. He is currently active in building and investing in Moon Express, Viome Inc, DTV Motor Corporation, Ferrate Treatment Technologies, Casepoint, Radimmune Therapeutics.”
Lovingly called “Parya” by Sanjay, Paresh has been the actor’s friend since even before his debut film, Rocky, released. Currently based in Los Angeles, Paresh has stood by Sanjay like a rock through all his ups and downs.
Paresh Ghelani flew to Mumbai to catch a special screening of Sanju.
