After the successful marketing of PlayStation VR Headset, Oculus rift and HTC Vive, Google also came into the virtual reality industry with its Daydream View VR Headset. The Daydream is Google’s first VR headset i.e. not considering the Google cardboard.
After the efforts done in the VR industry by the big and heavy headsets of PlayStation, Oculus and HTC people were looking for something cheap and handy and guess what , Google like always comes to the rescue with its light weight, comfortable and handy VR headset .
The Daydream headset is designed while keeping mainly one thing in mind i.e. long viewing in the headset because in all the other headsets the user gets tired easily because of the heavy weight. With the Daydream you also get miniature motion controller for the virtual world with the help of which you can interact in the virtual world. The controller is connected to your device with the help of Bluetooth. The controller uses a laser pointer in the virtual world to point at objects and interact with them. The controller also can be easily reset and its pointer can be centralized with only one tap. The controller allows the user to access some of the device’s settings and the notifications while also giving the user an immersive experience. The Daydream catalogue also detects all the pre-installed software for VR and also gives a user access to them.
Google Daydream also has no light leak with a wider view for the user, its comfy design helps the user to freely look in the virtual world in an immersive manner. Google has also improved the Daydream catalogue with an easy and simple software setup.
